Photos on This Page Last Updated December 29, 2018

This Web page contains golf hole pics of North Ridge CC that have been "recently" added to our Website. I put recently in quotes, as I am not sure how often the page will be updated. It depends upon weather/camera-availability when I am on the golf course and other factors.

It is intended that the next phase of North Ridge photos will be movies of each golf hole. However, I am in the midst of trying to come up with an approach to do that with my limited camera and captured-video editing experience.

Some of the pictures included in this page are also on the primary pictures-of-golf-holes at North Ridge Web page pointed to my this site's navigation page (see the above "About Us, Newsletters, Discussion, Golf Course Pictures' button).

An early-morning walk on Christmas Day. No golf clubs taken along, during the walk. Pure pleasure. Some frosty ground at the start of the walk -- brought forth some special views. For sure, one or more of the following will be in an upcoming-year(s) golf-oriented calendar that I toss together each January.
Have a good 2019!

Note: Views of Lakes' #12, #10, #11 show the effect of some fairway/tree-removal work being done this Winter.
(Lakes #s 10,11,12 and other "outside nine" holes are closed for six-months-or-so this 2018/2019).

Some people never see this view, as they are in a golf cart...
If you play this hole later afternoon/early evening, make sure you stop and enjoy this view.
There was a proposal at one time to move the Lakes 15th green "out into the lake".
What golf hole, this would have been -- although, quite expensive to do such a modification.

Oaks 4th Front Tee - Showing Dormant Bermuda Grass

I have been asked a few times what I am referring to when I say the Bermuda grass becomes dormant around November 15th in this part of the world. This front-tee view of Oaks' 4th shows such; the fairways have been watered/fertilized for the last time until Spring and they appear a different shade than the rough. In any case: Don't worry - The Bermuda will be fully green May 15, 2019 (they start leaving dormancy end-March, even... now.

Cool, to start the day - However: Another perfect golf-morning. The Bermuda-grass fairways are starting to become dormant for the Winter and the Oaks' Bent-grass greens are perfect. Truly, a special time of year for golf in the Mid-South USA.

A Few on the Lakes Course

On this day, I played a rare (I do not play the Lakes Course as often as I do the Oaks Course at our club) round on the Lakes Course as part of our Senior Golf Association's "Reverse Shotgun" schedule. A nice day of golf and I had a chance to take a few photos.

Bunkers are reachable. Creek/Hazard Left and 180-to-230 Yds diagonally left-to-right (across the fairway) ahead of you. Out of Bounds, Right.

Just hit it straight, slightly left-to-right, 190 yds and have an uphill Second Shot of 180 yds or so.

Spring! Five Days Until Dogwoods are Ready

Ok! We "made it" through the Winter and Spring is here. April 6th is the traditional first-day of the Dogwood Blossoms' time here in Raleigh and the trees are seemingly going to be ready. Let's hope that the weekend of April 7-8 is as spectacular as it should be. If you don't love this time of year weather-wise in Raleigh -- you should move to somewhere else... It is a great time of year. I bet, golf-wise, that you will have some good-shots and some bad-shots. I will. Enjoy.

Early-Winter View

The Bermuda grass is dormant, the Oak's Bentgrass greens are in wonderful shape --
