This Web page contains golf hole pics of North Ridge CC that have been "recently" added to our Website. I put recently in quotes, as I am not sure how often the page will be updated. It depends upon weather/camera-availability when I am on the golf course and other factors. It is intended that the next phase of North Ridge photos will be movies of each golf hole. However, I am in the midst of trying to come up with an approach to do that with my limited camera and captured-video editing experience. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Winter Golf in the Mid-South USA December 14, 2014 Our course is in wonderful condition as Winter begins. The Bermuda fairways - and the Bermuda rough areas - are dormant and are magnificent to play off-of. The Bent greens are wonderful to putt on and will be perfect until the Spring aearation comes about starting in February. If you are not in North Carolina as you read this and you have a chance - "Come On Down"..... chancing it may be too cold to play some days! Sun and mid-40s are a perfect combination for my golf enjoyment. The Fall colors will just make this shot even more wonderful! Assuming that the player carries over the rough to the fairway... Oh, well - the rough will be dormant in seven weeks!! Oaks 6th Shot-To-The Green Area For most of us, the third shot area is from here-on in. Big hitters who made it over the trees? Their second shot. This photo shows the first hint of Fall colors 2014 on Oaks #6. Oaks 10th Second Shot Area The sun reflecting on the lens is unfortunate - but, the photo does show the shot (from about 170yds). Oaks 4th No traps on this hole. Green area is, still, nicely protected via mounds and through being an uphill approach. The Forward tee is shown below. Not bad, eh? ----------------------------------------------------------------- The Annual Count-Down to Green Grass at North Ridge Country Club I updated this section of the photos once in awhile over the last two months. I tried to get updated photos from the "same" location once in awhile. I enjoy seeing the green grass come forward out of the now-dormant Bermuda grass that has served us well all winter! The dormant Bermuda grass is great to play off of - but, of course: We looked forward to green grass mid-May; and: It arrived on schedule! Have a great start to Summer!
