While in St. Andrews, even though we have seen in past visits many of the locations where the following photos were taken - we enjoyed re-visiting these in April 2017.

Click on any of the following smaller photos to see in a larger-sized image.

Some Local-Area Views in St. Andrews

Three Bridges - We Take One - On the Way to Fife/St. Andrews.

The then (in April 2017) to-be-completed bridge (The pylons are shown in the left-side of this photo) was slated for completion in Fall 2017.
The bridge to the right in this photo is the train bridge.
The center bridge is the one we used in April 2017 and on previous trips; it is the famous "Forth Road Bridge" - one of the architectural "wonders" of the world.

The Gorse is ALWAYS in-bloom for us in April.
The gorse ignore Global Warming.

One of the World's Best Golf-Bench Rest Stops.
And: The hiking trail/path is public land.
The locals definitely stop here in the late afternoon sun.

The old-Abbey Area of St. Andrews:

The St. Andrews Cemetery / Ruins Area

The St. Andrews Bay / Castle Ruins Area
(Trying to "Catch The Wave")
Imagine, 1300A.D. and building this castle! Incredible.

St. Andrews Bay View out to Sea From the 1900/2000's Harbor
The Castle Course and its 7th Hole fairway is in the sun, out on the cliffs in the distance.

Some Beach-Area Views in St. Andrews
About 1/2-mile from our flat.

The old: 1200 or so A.D.

The new: 1900s-thru-2017 A.D. - 700 years or so later,
just up the beach a quarter of a mile
from the area shown in the photo to the left.

Some Streets of St. Andrews, April 2017

St. Andrews University Influence
A wonderful bookstore near the town campus. Yes: 1/4 mile from our flat (everything is centrally located in town).

Our Local Shopping Store
200 yds From Our Front Door

Jubilee Course 18th Green Area View to Sea and Town
All throughout the St. Andrews Golf Links' areas are hiking trails open to the public. This is one of the views you will see -- whether you are a golfer or not: The walks and the views are wonderful.
The View is Even Better Later in the Day's Late-Afternoon Sun
St. Andrews' Old Course Viewed From the Jigger Inn
After a walk down the street following the Old Course 18th hole's route to the Jugger Inn.

Or, walk 2hrs or so along the Coastal Path (or drive a car, as I do, 5 minutes!), to the Castle Course two miles out of town and reach the Castle Course 18th (Par-5) Green.
