Well.... 2017's April three-plus weeks for us in Scotland/St. Andrews is past. Pointed-to above and in the following, is a start to what will be this year's trip-summary. Someday, I will update the text more intelligently! Someday. When time allows. For now - ----- We have been going to St Andrews for many years; since 1976-78 (I would have to check far-back records to know the actual year!). As the years went on: The New Course, the Jubilee Course and, eventually, the Castle Course dominated our golf-playing time in St. Andrews -- with the Eden Course re-joining our "rotation" the last couple of visits to St. Andrews; we had ignored the Eden Course for a few years. We no longer play the Old Course (a primary reason being that our stay-time in St. Andrews is now measured in weeks rather than in days as it was in our earliest trips); although, certainly, you will play the Old Course and enjoy doing that. In any case - I keep this "Home Page" for our April 2017 brief. It is simply a holding place for pointing to 2017's photos that (eventually..) I select for later-on merging with photos selected from the earlier trips. Someday, all photos will be merged/etc. -- as time allows..... Where, in Scotland, We Are Talking About in These Webpages

The map to the right is taken from the 1996 book: "Blasted Heaths and Blessed Greens" by James W. Finegan (Simon & Schuster). The map does not show all golf courses in Scotland - and none after the book was published originally in 1996 -- but, the map serves the purposes of these Web pages and their commentary. If you have not read Finegan's book (or you read it years ago and your memory, before you leave for a golfing-trip to Scotland, needs re-triggering) -- if you can find a copy somewhere -- the book is terrific. Anyway, the Map shows where we go (now, and in recent years, "just" the St. Andrews area).
